When making a donation on Bright Funds, you will be prompted to select from a few payment options. You will be prompted to enter in your information each time you make a donation.
Bank Account
If offered through your company, you may see a "Bank Account" option once you are on the donation checkout page. If selected, you will be prompted to sign into your bank account to confirm the details in order to make a donation.
Please note, if you donate via the bank account option, it does take about 7 business days for the donation to process and settle in Bright Funds, and will appear as "Pending" on your My Donations page.
Once confirmed, the "Pending" status will disappear.
Credit Card
- On the donation checkout page, when you select "Credit Card," for your donation method, you will see where to enter your donation information.
- At the bottom of the page, you will see the area to submit your payment information:
PayPal
- If you select PayPal, at the bottom of the page, you will be prompted to "Continue to PayPal", where you will sign into your PayPal account for verification.
- Once completed, you should see your donation marked as PayPal Donation on your My Donations page.
Editing your payment method for a recurring donation
To edit your credit card or payment method for a recurring donation, you will need to cancel the current recurring donation.
Click on My Donations from your Dashboard, and you’ll see your recurring donation towards the top of the page. Click the blue Manage text:
To cancel your recurring donation, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Cancel donation" option:
If you would like to set up a recurring donation once more with previous organizations supported, you can do so from your Donate page.
