Created a Fund and now wondering when those funds will be sent? No worries! Donations made to Funds follow the same timeline as a normal donation you make on Bright Funds.
The timeline of donations to your Fund being sent to the nonprofit(s) in your Fund depend on the type of a donation a donor made.
For U.S.-based nonprofits in a Fund
Credit card/PayPal donations are sent the following month the donation is made. If someone donated to your Fund in January, their donation would sent to the nonprofit(s) in your Fund in February.
Matching donations and credit donations, if offered, are sent two months after the initial donation.
For nonprofits based outside the U.S. in a Fund
Credit card/PayPal/Bank Donations
Credit card/PayPal/Bank donations are sent the following month to our disbursement partner, who then works to disburse the donations to your nonprofit. If someone donated to your Fund in January, their donation would be sent to our disbursement partner in February, and to the nonprofit(s) in the weeks following.
Please note, this is contingent on the nonprofit having confirmed their recipient details, which includes banking details. Please reach out to the Support Team to confirm if your nonprofit is fully registered.
Matching/credit Donations
Matching donations and credit donations, if offered, are sent two months after the initial donation to our disbursement partner, who will then disburse to the nonprofit(s) in the weeks following.
Please note that the matching timeline is contingent on Bright Funds receiving the matching funds from your company. Once the matching funds are received at Bright Funds, they are queued to be sent the following month.
