If your company offers matching, you can check to see if it's matched.
To see if your donation made on Bright Funds was matched:
- Click into your My Donations page from your Dashboard.
- A "Matching Donation" box should appear above or below your Credit Card, PayPal or Outside Transaction to indicate the match:
You can then click into the Matching Donation to view its details.
Review Statuses for Match Requests
Awaiting Approval
This means your company has yet to review your match on their end:
Awaiting transfer from your company
This means that your company has approved the match. At this point, this means that Bright Funds is waiting to receive the matching funds from your company in order for the donation to be disbursed to the nonprofit:
Note: While your matching donation was approved, matching donations follow a two-month timeline for the funds to be sent to the nonprofit. Bright Funds must receive the matching funds from your company first before the funds can be disbursed.
Not Eligible for Matching
If you received an email in which your outside matching donation was not approved, you will see this status appear, as well as the reason why. Please note, all reviewed matches are done by your company, not Bright Funds.
Donation Disbursement Statuses
Once the funds that are paid for by your company and received by Bright Funds, the status will change to "Matched" and be batched into a reconciliation process.
Scheduled
This new status will appear within the donation details box after your match is approved.
Disbursed
This status will update once your donation is confirmed as sent to your nonprofit.
